Nakita & Ishmir
This lovely couple presented an exciting brief, blending Indian culture (him) with classic English elegance (her). They wanted to create a luxurious, high-end invitation suite with a lasercut pocket, plenty of gorgeous gold foil, jewels and a hint of sparkle.
In Hindu culture, the Peacock is associated with the deity Lakshmi, representing benevolence, patience, kindness, compassion and good luck. Nakita and Ishmir asked to incorporate this into their design, combined with delicate hand painted florals and their signature colours of soft pink and gold.
We used the idea of indian mehndi to transform the image of the peacock into a simple clean pattern, which contrasted nicely with the natural forms of the flowers.
The pocketfold is a bespoke design cut especially for the couple. The pocket includes an opening to allow their monogram design to peep through, and was fastened with Velcro. It was finished with a diamonté flower, and for even more sparkle we printed the information pages on pearlescent card!
